Back in 1978, my father started North Country Guns and Tackle in Watertown, SD. It was a small store, but carried the best hunting and fishing stories around, tackle, guns, Terry Redlin prints and even nudie magazines. The somewhat crude logo for this site is my best rendition of my father's logo from way back in the day. As my father was an avid hunter and fisherman, I think it was more about doing what you love and hoping you can make a living at it. The store burned down one night due to faulty wiring and dad passed a couple of years ago, but the memories and stories live on. Many years later, as my wife and I near retirement, we decided that we would like to share our love of hunting and guns and the tall tales, I mean true stories, just as my father did years ago. My goal is to recreate a forum for those stories, and hopefully sell some guns and stuff, in memory of my father.
